InfraEngine
Overview
InfraEngine is a working prototype of a Semantic Web
engine that combines
- RDF Schema browsing, where
- Semantic Web processing is integrated with
“normal” browsing
- RDF objects can be displayed in
different views: tabular, as graph and as RDF
expression
- User interface functionality is realized by additional
specialized views for
RDF objects of certain types,
such as classes and properties
- Schema inferences corresponding to the model theoretic semantics of RDF
are transparently performed
- Knowledge is organized into
multiple knowledgebases, each of which is
related to a set of RDF documents
- with a planning engine, where
- Inputs to planning tasks – rules, and
specifications for start and goal states –
are represented by RDF documents
in a distributed way
- Outputs of planning tasks – partial-order plans –
have RDF representations
- The evaluation of planning queries and the
inspection of result plans is integrated into
RDF schema browsing
- RDF schema information is utilized by the planning engine.
The system runs as a Web server, providing a Web user interface. It is
implemented in SWI Prolog. It is
released under the GNU General Public License.
The system was originally written in 2002, the underlying
planning system in 1999. It has been slightly revised and
adapted to recent versions of SWI-Prolog in 2007.
